The Chinese Horoscope Of The Rat

In the United States, as well as many other countries a rat is associated with a bad thing. Often times we associate a rat with a filthy rodent. Other times a person may be referred to as a rat. When a person is referred to as a rat, most often it means that that person has told on someone else or is a tattle tale. In being a Rat in a Chinese horoscope is considered a great honor. In China people who are considered a rat are well liked, intelligent, and quick witted.


The following years are considered to be the year of the rat: 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, and 2008. If you believe you were born in the year of the rat you would be wise to look it up on a Chinese calendar. The Chinese New Year falls on a different day every year!


Rats tend to have a need for constant mental and physical stimulation. While sometimes this can be a good thing, often times it is not. If a rat feels that they are lacking in the stimulation department, they may try to overcompensate by taking on too many projects at one time. This often results in a failure to meet all of their responsibilities. While there are a few negatives about being a rat there are far more positives. Those born in the year of the rat are naturally witty, charming, smart, talented and curious.


Diamonds are a rat's best friend! Rats also seem to enjoy garnet and amethyst. Many of them are drawn to blue hues. You might find may light blue shirts in their closet. Those born in Rat years seem to enjoy basket ball. They are also a creative bunch. Many of them love to draw and paint.


Those born in rat years tend to have quite a few friends. This is because they are easy to talk to. If you find yourself talking to someone born in the year of the rat, you will notice that they have something to say about everything.


Rats make wonderful homemakers. They seem to love to do household chores. The communication skills of the rat make them great comedians and writers as well. Rats are also great historians, managers, and entrepreneurs.


Rats tend to make great lovers. They are passionate about life and it really shine through. They make great parents and love their children dearly.
